RileyHost started with a question from a Dubai agent: not “what tool should I use” but “can someone answer my leads while I’m in a viewing”.
Agents already have a CRM they do not open and a phone full of WhatsApp threads that is the actual system of record. Another dashboard was not going to help.
So the shape of the product is a person you hire. Onboarding is an interview, settings are terms of employment, and the daily report is Riley reporting to its employer.
A bot that pretends to be a human. It works better in the short term and it is why people stop trusting these systems.
We also refused to let real estate companies read their agents’ conversations. They asked for it. Agents would have left.
Riley never decides the state of a lead and never writes to the database. Every decision is ordinary, testable code.
We store the exact wording each person agreed to. It cannot be edited afterwards, by us or anyone else.
When two records describe the same property or person, we link them. We never destroy one to resolve the other.
Riley qualifies leads and books viewings. We are not planning to make it a CRM.
